  • Overview

    The Compliance Manager will, with oversight and direction from the Vice President, Compliance help structure, implement and execute elements of the corporate compliance program, with a strong emphasis on federal and local aggregate spend and transparency reporting as well as the auditing and monitoring of promotional activities.  The candidate for this position will work closely with Legal and Compliance colleagues and shall be responsible for helping to manage the company’s compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, guidance and industry standards including those of the FDA, OIG and CMS, and all applicable anti-kickback, privacy, fraud and abuse and Sunshine and transparency laws.


    • Assist in the development of an aggregate spend system and the completion of federal, relevant state disclosure and transparency-driven compliance requirements.
    • Help to continuously improve the compliance program in line with OIG Guidance, including, but not limited to, policy development, training, auditing and monitoring, investigations and risk assessment.
    • Conduct field ride alongs and speaker program observations to monitor key compliance risk areas. Draft reports and identify corrective actions.
    • Assist in the investigation of complaints, concerns, or questions relative to compliance issues utilizing current investigative/forensic techniques as appropriate.
    • Review and critically analyze data to determine instances of suspected fraud, abuse or non-compliance
    • Provide advice and support to Sales, Marketing, Clinical Operations and other key business stakeholders related to healthcare industry compliance.
    • Assist in implementation of compliance guidance and communication materials.
    • Manage compliance training requirements and conduct required training classes.
    • Partner with the business to develop and implement tools which empower them to make ethical and compliant decisions.
    • Help drive a culture of compliance throughout the organization and promote various compliance policies and procedures.
    • Maintain current understanding of laws, regulations and industry codes applicable to pharmaceutical/biotechnology business activities and Compliance, along with recent trends and changes, and help provide related internal education and training.
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned.


    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 4+ years of compliance experience in the healthcare industry required (pharmaceutical and/or medical device preferred).
    • Experience working in a Compliance or Legal Department providing cross-functional business advice is preferred.
    • Excellent project management, problem-solving and organizational skills
    • Excellent professional verbal and technical writing skills. 
    • High level of professional discretion and diplomacy; able to strictly maintain confidential information. 
    • Strong presentation skills and comfortable presenting to both small and large groups. 
    • Adapts to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change. 
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
